ONE ASSOCIATION.
MULTIPLE PRIESTS.
ONE SINGLE
VOICE.
ONE MISSION.

History and Mission
ANSH is a priestly association, the result of a long process of maturation and consolidation of various associations of priests, established in accordance with the guidelines of the Decree Presbiterorum Ordinis of the Second Vatican Council, no. 8.
“In order that priests may offer one another mutual help in cultivating their spiritual and intellectual life, cooperate more effectively in ministry, and be safeguarded from the dangers that may arise from solitude, some form of common life or community living should be encouraged among them…”
In September 1989, it was decided to establish ANSH as an association, and finally, in October 1990, the Constitution and Statutes of the National Association of Hispanic Priests were approved. The Preamble of the Constitution describes the mission of ANSH by stating that:
“”…we desire to unite as brothers, not only to share our priestly ministry and our common language, but also to strengthen the bonds that, as Hispanics, we must recognize and affirm, and, consequently, to work more effectively within the Catholic Church, evangelizing those sectors of Hispanic culture.”
